Lena Adams-Foster is at her wit’s end when everyone comes to her with their crises in The Fosters season 4 episode 18. For a refresher on what happened last week, read my recap of episode 17.
The Fosters season 4 episode 18 opens with Lena talking about how she wants to quit in solidarity with Monte Porter. Their conversation is interrupted when Stef Adams-Foster gets a call about Callie Adams-Foster.
Later, at the breakfast table, Stef tells Callie that she needs to talk to her. She tells her that her trial is only a week away.
Jude Adams-Foster walks into class and sees that kids have placed a dildo on his desk to bully him. They laugh at him and make a comment about him going to LGBT sex ed.
Callie meets up with Aaron. She tells him she thinks that Vanessa, the woman who was Troy Johnson‘s alibi, was having an affair with him. She suggests they talk to her ex-husband to see if he knows about the affair. Aaron says he’s actually going to L.A. He suggests that Callie could come with him to get answers from Vanessa’s ex-husband and accompany him when he visits his family.
Callie asks Lena if she can go with Aaron to L.A. Lena isn’t sure if it’s a good idea with her trial coming up.
Aaron introduces Callie to his parents. His parents seem nice and welcome Callie, but then Aaron’s mom calls him “Allison.”
Aaron’s brother Evan asks Callie if she’s a lesbian. He says, “His last girlfriend was a lesbian. Wait, no, no, she was straight, he was the lesbian.”
Jude and Noah sneak into school to surprise Taylor by decorating her locker. While they’re there, Jude decides to display the low grades of the kid who bullied him.
Ana Gutierrez tells Mike Foster that she wishes Gabriel Duncroft could stay in town. She suggests that he move into the apartment next to Mike.
After dinner with his parents, Callie apologizes to Aaron for being confrontation with his parents. He kisses her.
The next morning, Aaron finds Callie having coffee with his mother and brother. Callie gives Aaron’s mom a picture of Aaron that she printed out, since she doesn’t have one of him post-transition.
Mariana asks Lena if Gabe can move into the garage. Lena sarcastically says yes. Mariana sincerely says, “Thank God because I already told him yes.”
Jude and Noah are still at the school when they hear the new principal walking through the halls. They overhear him making plans to convert the school from charter to private.
At the end of the episode, Stef is doing laundry when she finds the letter that Emma wrote Jesus. Her jaw drops as she reads it.
