Designated Survivor season 1 episode 12 is titled “The End of the Beginning.” According to the episode synopsis, “New information about the conspiracy emerges. Tension rises between Aaron Shore and Emily Rhodes. A new lead brings agent Hannah Wells closer to the truth.” For a refresher on what happened last week, read my recap of episode 11.
In the Designated Survivor season 1 episode 12 promo video, Mike Ritter warns Tom Kirkman that nobody’s safe. Kirkman reminds him that they people behind the attack are still out there. And, that there’s still a traitor in the White House. He says that he can’t stop them from his hospital bed. Alex Kirkman warns Kirkman that these people took down the government and almost killed him. Later, Kirkman says he wants to know who’s been leaking classified information. Aaron tells Kimble Hookstraten not to go public with information. She asks him what he’s trying to protect. Later, Emily asks, presumably about Aaron, “You don’t really think he’s a traitor, do you?” Then, Kirkman sits across from Aaron in the Oval Office.
A member of the FBI tells Hannah, “You’re talking about accusing the Vice President of being involved in one of the greatest crimes in history.” Then, Kirkman says, “He was involved from the very beginning. What a monster.” Later, Hannah gets in a car and says, “Tell the President it’s game on.” Watch the Designated Survivor season 1 episode 12 promo video below.
