Kenny P – “Hello, It’s Me” by Todd Rundgren
The Coaches Thought: Gwen was the first to push her button for Todd and Blake was shortly after her, this is going to be a good battle. Blake thinks he has this one in the bag because Kenny has started playing more country lately, but Gwen tells him that she has started playing more of it too. Blake goes as far as telling Kenny Gwen doesn’t care about him. In the end, Kenny decides to be a part of Team Gwen!
Enid Ortiz – “All I Ask” by Adele
The Coaches Thought: Blake is the only one to turn his chair and it was at the last possible second and Gwen accuses him of cheating. It was actually pretty entertaining. She is so excited that she won a spot on the show and she opened up about a skin condition that she has and Alicia gave her some great advice about it. Welcome to Team Blake!
RJ Collins – “Purpose” by Justin Bieber
The Coaches Thought: Adam was the first to turn for RJ, Alicia was the second and now she has to battle it out with Adam. After a brief battle, RJ ultimately pick to be a part of Team Alicia!
Austin Tyler Jones – “Alison” by Elvis Costello
Unfortunately, none of the coaches turned their chairs for him. Blake told him that his performance was a little too laid back for him. Adam thinks that the song was a great choice, but he is being super picky at this point in the blinds.
TSoul – “Take Me To The River” by Al Green
The Coaches Thought: Adam was the first to turn and Blake was right behind him. Adam tells him that Blake is convinced that because Alicia didn’t turn that TSoul will join his team. Alicia tells him that she thinks that Adam is a better fit for him, but Blake isn’t having it. In the end, TSoul picks to be on Team Blake! I’m actually surprised by this, I was really expecting Team Adam.
Hanna Erye – “Blank Space” by Taylor Swift
The Coaches Thought: Everyone turned except for Alicia and they are all battling it out for her. Gwen thinks that she is the best fit because she knows what it feels like to be a teenager trying to start her career. After everything was said and done, Hanna chose to be on Team Adam!!
Casey Jamerson – “Shadows of the Night” by Pat Benatar
None of the coaches turned their chairs, but I have to say that this was an epic performance. Gwen is kicking herself for not turning her chair for her. I would be too.
Hunter Plake – “Carry On” by Fun
The Coaches Thought: The first to turn was Gwen, Alicia was shortly after her. Alicia tells him that what struck her was the uniqueness of his performance. Gwen tells him that she would love to have him on her team, but then Alicia has to have the last word because she thinks it will help her chances. In the end, it does help because he picks Team Alicia!
Nala Price – “Send My Love (To Your New Lover)” by Adele
The Coaches Thought: Adam was the first to turn, Gwen was second. Blake is of course talking up Gwen to Nala, but who will she pick to be her coach? Gwen is convinced that she was singing directly at Gwen during her performance and adds that Nala really showed all sides of her voice to them. Nala chooses to be on Team Adam!
Sammie Zonana – “Dangerous Woman” by Ariana Grande
The Coaches Thought: She had an amazing voice, I loved this performance and her story. I think that’s my favorite part of this show is learning more about the performers and why they have chosen to sing. Gwen was the first and only to turn for her. I thought it was a great performance and so did everyone else, but with the spots filling up the coaches are a little picky. Welcome to Team Gwen!
Valerie Ponzio – “Ring of Fire” by Johnny Cash
The Coaches Thought: First of all I want to say that I love this song. Gwen was the first to turn, Alicia was next and Blake and Adam pushed at the last second. All the coaches tell her how great of a performer and how wonderful her voice is, but Blake has the connections she needs to make it in the country genre. In the end, Valerie picks to be a part of Team Blake!
