The ladies of Bad Girls Club Season 17 enjoy their liquor a little too much. Their alcohol consumption serves as the catalyst for all of their fights. If you missed last week, you can catch up here. Let’s dive in to the latest drama filled episode.
The Morning After
Primarily, the morning after any major fight in the Bad Girls Club involves the cast making proclamations they’ll never follow through with. That rings true with Kiyanna stating she’s never going to drink again. Her logic is she needs to be sober incase any of the girls try fighting her in the house. For this reason I respect her.
However, I don’t respect the girls using the “b” word. I’m not talking about bitch, but bullying. I’m not a psychologist or mental health counselor, but the girls need to learn the true definition of bullying. Too often cast members use the phrase whenever they don’t like a situation they’re in.
Both Keyaira and Seven return to the BGC house. Strangely enough, Keyaira understands that she can’t continue behaving the way she’s been behaving if she wants a career. It’s all about optics sweetie and I respect her for that. Unfortunately though, appearing on the Bad Girls Club is not the best starting off point for your career or character.
Spitting Is Not The Answer
The most disgusting thing a person can ever do is spit on someone. Prior to spit landing on one of the girl’s faces, Francesca finds her voice and stands up to the group. Screaming at Keyaira how Key is “not a bad girl because you fight people. You bully people.” However, she is met by DeShayla who already feels a certain way about Fran. DeShayla is ready to pop Fran in her face. Furthermore, DeShayla’s proclomation of “whooping that ass” reminds me of Camila’s mom from Bad Girls Club Season 8. Instead of talking about their issues like adults, DeShayla gets in Fran’s face before letting loose a large loogie.
From there, the rumble began. I will say that Fran is definitely underestimated in that house. The way she manhandled DeShayla, grabbing her by the throat and shoving her down was unexpected. Continuously, she truly had the upper hand on DeShayla.
Subsequently, Francesca and Seven proceed to exchange hands and in comes Kiyanna charging at Seven. I’m sorry but Kiyanna was already gassed out by the time she reached Seven and she didn’t even come out on top. While I appreciate Kiyanna’s attempts to stand up for her friends, the fighting is not working for her.
Over Hyped Rapper’s Delight
The reason Keyaira is in the Bad Girls Club house is to get her aspirational rap career going. The platform she has from the show is a great launching pad, but she has to continue to rise above the show’s reputation. Arguably, most of the girls on BGC are unable to extend their fifteen minutes of fame into tangible careers in the entertainment industry. However, if Keyaira has the right team in place and stays out of trouble, she can achieve anything she wants.
Meanwhile, Francesca meets with a hype coach. I truly thought that being a “hype” person was not a real tangible job, more so a hobby or side gig. While I must admit that Fran exudes high energy and confidence, I don’t foresee a long career in being a hype woman. Furthermore, aren’t the girls contracts for Bad Girls Club provide them with a contractually obligated amount of club appearances? Either way, it was entertaining to see Fran in her natural habitat.
Tanisha Thomas Wannabe
The producers of Bad Girls Club are extra foul this week. When they released the initial cast photos of the girls on season 17, there were a lot of comparisons between Kiyanna and Tanisha Thomas. This week, the producers upped their savagery and caught Kiyanna freaking out about her Red Bull. Way back in season 2, Tanisha freaked out over cast members messing its her juice and not touching a fat woman’s food. Fifteen season later, Kiyanna is up in arms over someone in the house messing with her food.
A Disastrous Limo Ride
Nothing good comes of the cast riding in a private limo home after a night out. The girls are always extra drunk and they look to mouth off. This of course was the occasion tonight. The two cliques of girls find themselves trapped in the limo and animosity is at an all time high. Susan is mourning the loss of a family friend and Kiyanna takes offense to the attention Susan receives. Why you ask? It’s because Kiyanna’s grandmother died there weeks prior. Unfortunately, the two begin jawing at one another and Susan says “she’s about to swing on this fat ass bitch”. There is nothing Keyaira can do to calm the situation down, no matter how hard she tries.
At this point, all of Susan’s buttons were pushed and she was ready to snap. She informs her sister that she’s thinking about leaving to come back home, but she needs to handle her business before she leaves. She didn’t appreciate Fran jokingly asking whether Susan’s husband was the one who died. While Fran has no loyalty or respect for Susan, it truly was a low blow to Susan. Fran’s statement was truly out of character for her thus far.
As a result of the previous arguments, Sayyora hypothesizes that Susan only “has a problem controlling herself only when other girls are around egging her on”. Fortunately for Sayyora, there is enough evidence to make her case. Regardless of the facts, Susan stars Fran down with the scariest look someone could ever give. What is worse is Susan grabs a rag tail comb with the intent to use it to harm Fran. Thankfully Keyaira steps in and removes the weapon from Susan’s hand. After Susan walks away, producers ask her to pack an overnight bag to remove her from the house for the time being.
As a matter of fact, even though Susan returns to the house the next day, it in fact was her last day. The producers sit down with Susan and explain that her actions threatened the well being of the cast and she needs to leave.
At this point, Keyaira understands that they are all in the house for a bigger reason than to be petty with one another. First, she tells Seven and DeShayla they need to keep their enemies closer, however they also need to bring peace to the house. In order to do this, the girls need to call a truce and come to a mutual respect for one another. This is the type of growth that is supposed to happen on this show.
How long the truce lasts is up for question, but the effort was made. All we can do now and wait to see if their truce comes to an end.
Bad Girls Club Season 17 airs every Tuesday at 8pm EST on Oxygen!
