Micah Tryba – “I’m Every Woman” – by Chaka Khan
The Coaches Thought: Adam and Alicia didn’t turn for her and they told her that there were some pocket issues but they are easily fixed and either Blake or Gwen can help her with that. Gwen and Blake are going at it but Micah felt that Team Blake was a better fit for her. Gwen’s mind is blown that she went with Blake!!
Troy Ramey – “Wild World” by Cat Stevens
The Coaches Thought: The first to turn is Blake, within seconds of Troy opening his mouth and Adam, Gwen and Alicia all follow suit. Adam tells him that he is a major contender in this and Gwen tells him that he sang this song like it was his own. Alicia told him he has all the greats rolled into his voice and he tells Blake that his mom can’t stop talking about his dimples and he asks to meet her. She came out to say hi and Blake told him that he loves that song and that he has serious strength in his voice. Troy decides to go to Team Gwen!!
Ericka Corban – “Wade in the Water” by Mary Mary
No one turned for her and the judges told her that there were some control issues and she seemed to be in her head a little too much. Alicia told her that she really does have an amazing talent and she encourages her to continue to let her voice be heard.
Jack Cassidy – “One of Us” by Joan Osbourne
The Coaches Thought: This is one of my favorite songs and he nailed it! Adam was the first to hit is button. Soon after Alicia hits her button, but Gwen and Blake stay out of this. Jack is part of the famous family behind The Partridge Family, but the judges don’t know that. Not until Alicia asked him for more background information. He decides to go with Team Alicia in the end!!
Kawan DeBose – “Let’s Get it On” by Marvin Gaye
The Coaches Thought: The only one who didn’t hit her button was Alicia, but I’m sure that she is kicking herself for it. Adam tells him that he rendered him speechless, Blake of course chimed in on that. Adam actually compares his voice and his falsettos to Prince. Alicia thinks that Kawan should choose Team Adam. After the judges battle it out, Kawan chooses to be on Team Adam!
Taylor Alexander – “Believe” by Cher
The Coaches Thought: I am thinking that I can’t believe he just took “Believe” by Cher and turned it into a country song. The only person who turned for him was Adam. Adam is also blown away by the fact that he completely flipped this song and he was also really surprised he was able to figure out what song it was so quickly.
Gaby Borromeo – “Happy” by Leona Lewis
The Coaches Thought: Blake and Adam were the only ones to hit their buttons for her, Alicia comments that her voice was really nice, but didn’t hit her button. Adam tells her that he is surprised this wasn’t a four chair turn and he thinks she has what it takes to win. Blake tells her that it started off good, got even better and then ended up an incredible performance. In the end, Gaby chooses to be a part of Team Adam!
Griffin Tucker – “Heartbreak Hotel” by Elvis Presley
None of the judges pressed their button for this cute little 14 year old boy with a very big voice. Adam tells him that at 14 he couldn’t even talk to girls let alone get on stage and sing Elvis. The judges suggest to him to keep up the hard work and try coming back again. Blake tells us he is really close to having what it takes.
Missy Robertson – “Scars to Your Beautiful” by Aleesia Cara
The Coaches Thought: Blake and Alicia waited until the last second to hit their buttons and I want to add that she was amazing. Alicia and Blake fight for her and Adam tries to make it look like Blake is full of it. Missy ends up choosing to be on Team Alicia in the end!
Aaliyah Rose – “Rise Up” by Andra Day
The Coaches Thought: The only one to hit their button was Gwen and I have to say that I am in tears after that performance. She is 14 years old and the performance was a extremely emotional. Aaliyah told Gwen and Alicia how inspired she is by them and how she has covered songs from both of them on her YouTube channel. She was so excited to be on Team Gwen!
Josh West – “Ordinary World” by Duran Duran
The Coaches Thought: This performance is something you expect out of a grown man and here we have a 17 year old killing this performance. He got a four chair turn! Adam and Josh talk favorite 90s bands, which is funny because Josh was born in 1999. After they all give him their pitches, it’s time for Josh to choose a team. He chooses to be on Team Adam!
