We are one day away from the Survivor Game Changers 2017 premiere on CBS and it looks like Jeff Probst is bringing us many new twists for the Survivor Season 34 cast! Since these are all returning castaways, the producers are going to have to keep the action new and fresh, which it sounds like the are trying to do with voting and Immunity Idol twists on Survivor 2017! Check out the details below in our Survivor Game Changers 2017 spoilers!
To start, we have a new twist as it concerns Tribal Council and when there is a tie vote. Before, if it was a tie, you would revote and then see how the voting went. If a tie again, then you deliberate and try to come up with a unanimous decision. If that can’t be met, then the bag of rocks comes out! For Survivor Season 34, Probst said we are going straight to the tiebreaker:
We will go directly to the tiebreaker. And at first you hear that and go, ‘Oh my God, what does that mean?’ It actually is not a significant change. All you’re doing is pulling out the middle section, which is the revote. You still have a chance to change your vote…So we vote, there’s a tie. Great, now here’s what we’re going to do. You’re all going to talk. These two people or these three people have votes. If you can all agree on who to get rid of, we’re done. They go home. But if you can’t unanimously agree, they’re safe and you draw rocks. So what this does is it eliminates the free peek into the future where an alliance that had enough members would say, ‘You know what? Let’s just split the vote between Dalton and Bill and let’s see if either one of them has an idol, and if they don’t we’ll put all our votes on Dalton.'”

It does make sense, as I hate when alliances will split a vote to flush out the idol. However, it could ruin this next twist, as there is no “theme” for the Immunity Idols this season, as Jeff said:
Usually there’s a theme. You have to find them in a certain way or work a certain amount of effort to get it. Not this time. One might drop in your lap, one might be at Tribal, one might be at the bottom of the well, one might be at a challenge. It depends how often idols get played for how far down the list we’ll get. Because if idols are held until the end, then we won’t see anything and we’ll use them next year. But if things go well and people start playing their idols — which I think will happen — it could be a really fun and crazy adventure to watch them and what they have to do to get them.”
