Tom Hiddleston is one of the actors that we just cannot stop loving. He’s incredibly appealing, with his British accent and his good manners. After Daniel Craig left the James Bond movies, people started wondering about the next Bond. Besides Idris Elba, the next possible choice was Tom Hiddleston and now he finally speaks up about it.
Now Tom is promoting his upcoming movie, Kong: Skull Island. During the promotional interviews, the actor stopped by Radio 1 Breakfast Show and discussed the rumors that he’ll be taking over these major roles.
“Obviously it’s very flattering that people think I’m part of the conversation. Neither of those two opportunities have come my way.”
Tom has previously starred as a spy in The Night Manager, for which he has won a Golden Globe. While we certainly hope he will be the next Bond, we have to wait and see.
During the promotion of his latest film, he discussed with The Sydney Morning Herald why he decided to star in the revival of King Kong:
“There’s a reason that he’s endured. He’s an icon of cinema. He’s been around for almost 100 years and he’s still powerful, he still excites wonder and inspiration and fear and awe. I think there’s a tangible texture in the film that comes from the fact that we were out there in the mud and the wet, in the long grass, for real.”
Whatever might come up next, we would still love to see Tom as James Bond. It might happen, right? Until then, Kong: Skull Island premieres on March 8.1 of 1
