Arrow season 5 episode 15 is titled “Fighting Fire With Fire.” According to the episode synopsis, “When Vigilante attacks Oliver Queen while he’s acting as the mayor, John Diggle leads the team on a mission to stop Vigilante once and for all.” For a refresher on what happened last week, read my recap of episode 14.
In the Arrow season 5 episode 15 promo video, Oliver says, “If we lose this office, then Prometheus wins.” Later, he says, “Apparently, because of the impeachment hearing, I’m a criminal.” Then, Prometheus attacks Oliver in a parking garage. Watch the Arrow season 5 episode 15 promo video below.
As for the rest of Arrow season 5, one question is whether Dinah Drake will serve as a love interest for Oliver. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Stephen Amell said it was a possibility but there’s no reason that it has to happen. He said:
The idea that Oliver would end up with the Black Canary being Katie Cassidy or any new iteration thereof? To me, it could happen, it could not, but it’s certainly not destined to happen or predesigned to happen.
In an interview with Collider, actress Juliana Harkavy spoke about Dinah’s future on the show from her perspective. Harkay seemed to echo the sentiment that Dinah doesn’t need to be a direct narrative replacement for Laurel Lance. She said:
When Dinah comes onto the scene, it’s because she, herself, has lost somebody and there’s a void in her life. And then, she goes onto this team, and they’ve just lost somebody and there’s a void in their lives. But from personal experience, she also knows how to approach that so delicately, and she knows how difficult and painful that is. When Lance tells her to step into that mantle, she’s like, ‘Dude, I don’t want to.’ She can relate and empathize. It’s nice for her to have this common ground with Team Arrow because they are all dealing with loss, in a way. Remembering that is allowing me to approach her, as myself, but also with respect to Laurel. There’s that vulnerability there.
