What will Cyrus’s fate be on Scandal Season 6?

The audience hears “his fall from grace is her rise to power.” This week on Scandal, the audience is promised a shocking twist involving the fate of the presidency. As you all know, Mellie Grant is the presumptive candidate for the Oval Office. However, this is Scandal Season 6 and there are no guarantees.

As a result of Cyrus being arrested, Gladiators will find his time in prison especially enjoyable. During the preview for the episode, Cyrus’ face is shown bruised and bloody. Was he beaten down behind bars? He’s pleading with someone on the phone that he is innocent and he did not kill Senator Frankie Vargas. Are these the pleas of a desperate man?

How far will Olivia Pope go to secure the presidency for her client? Can she rope her client’s ecstatic outbursts in check long enough to get her sworn in?
