ICYMI, Bad Girls Club is back for it’s 17th season! The theme this season is East Coast vs. West Coast as a result of running out of original ideas. Tonight’s episode is serving as an introduction to the seven (not to be confused with one of the women named Seven) new Bad Girls.
As the show begins, memorable clips of the baddest bad girls of all time are shown to segue in to the newest crop of Bad Girls.
Bad Girls Club – East Coast
The Bad Girls Club casting episode introduces us to our first bad girl DeShayla. She hails from Norfolk, Virginia and is an aspiring fashion designer/stylist. Her take on the definition of a “bad girl” from the east coast is one that is “hood” but does not need to sugar coat anything. She identifies as a member of the LGBTQ community and self described sexaholic. DeShayla is the proud owner of an 8 inch strap on that she plans on using on the other girls in the house.
The first sneak peek of the night is a clip of the girls in the house and the bucket list of tasks the girls need to complete! DeShayla proudly takes the opportunity to make out with her fellow east coast companion Francesca.
DeShayla’s backstory includes an absentee father and an ill mother. As a result, she is a bad girl with daddy issues and looking to come out better from her situation. She believes that anything bad that could happen to her has already happened. The audience is treated to a breakaway clip of the bad girl with her mom advising her to whoop the other girl’s asses, should they get out of line.
The next sneak peek shows a different side of DeShayla. Paradoxically, DeShayla is ready to throw down with Francesca. In the first sneak peek they were making out, and now they’re squaring up. Unfortunately for DeShayla, it appears Francesca may have had the upper hand in their fight.
At any rate, the show must go on and the next bad girl is Seven. Yes, you read that right, her name is Seven due to being the third child out of seven children in her family. This bad girl is from Port Washington, MD and takes the position that east coast girls are not sketchy. The last time a tv audience watched girls from Maryland, they were the sketchiest group of women, known as the Real Housewives of Potomac.
Moreover, she describes herself as extremely aggresive as a result of her mom being from New York and her father being Irish. I will not argue with her there on the temperment, however that’s not an excuse for bad behavior. This wannabe DJ and tomboy will throw hands.
In the meantime, the first sneak peek shows Seven both flirting with Sayorra and making out with DeShayla. Whether or not that comes back to haunt her, much like the STDs she may have, has yet to be seen. Continuously, the second sneak peek finds her fighting with another roommate Kiyanna over someone else’s drama. As a fan of the editing, they did a great job hyping up her fight, even including her putting on her sneakers. When a bad girl puts on her sneakers, you know there is a fight going down.
The token white girl this season hails from Torrington, CT and is described as the Rock Barbie. I personally think she looks as if Avril Lavigne was coming off a very horrible drug bender. This bad girl consequently has divorced parents that didn’t provide a good environment for her. Furthermore, her teen years brought her bullies telling her to kill herself. As awful as that may be, I hope the experience of being bullied allows her to stand up to other bullies in the house.
As a matter of fact, the sneak peak provides viewers an opportunity to see Francesca stand up for herself. Keyaira and the rest of the girls are catcalling Fran a gerbil leading to a verbal altercation. Consequently, Francesca lets it be known if she sees something, she will say something. Good for her!
I didn’t know that there was such a profession as a “hype coach” but incidentally Francesca found one in Los Angeles. She is a wild & crazy rock chick that may be a groupie with a heart of gold.
The last bad girl from the east coast is the Brooklyn, NY native and proud Jamaican Kiyanna. Her twerking is the best introduction thus far of all of the girls. First, she lets us know she is not a weak bitch. Secondly she believes that all of the girls should be having sex. Lastly, she is a bad girl with a degree and career aspirations to become a matchmaker.
Strangely enough, the next sneak peek is of her searching the streets of LA looking for single, eligible men for her matchmaking event for the girls. I find it hysterical when the girls have to go out in public and embarrass themselves on national television. Kudos Bad Girls Club producers for providing these gems.
Last but not least is the second sneak peek that provides the audience with the not so sweet side of Kiyanna. The scene shows her in a verbal altercation with Keyaira before it turn to a physical fight.
Bad Girls Club – West Coast
The first bad girl from the west cast is none other than Sayorra. She is a beauty with a booty and a brain. Her body covered in tattoos is what is on the outside, but she is a 4.0 college student and immigrant from Uzbekistan. She proudly says that America helped her become who she is. Her backstory lets us know that her parents did not have a good marriage, she comes from a culturally and traditionally conservative family, but that does not stop her from living her life.
No doubt, the producers share a clip of our beauty with a brain sliding down a stripper pole while discussing her sexual fluidity. Consequently, this leads in to the sneak peek of her visitor James. He ironically looks old enough to be her father. While watching her be eaten out, she’s engaging in full conversation with the rest of her roommates. Classy.
Lastly, we are left with a clip of her and Keyaira getting in to a heated argument about whether one or the other is fake. This leads to threats of touching another roommates possessions and Sayorra not standing down from a fight.
In my opinion, I believe this next bad girl is a watered down version of Susu & Hanan from Season 15. She comes from a religious Muslim background and hails from the great state of Washington. Having married a man so she could date him, she is unfortunately open to cheat as she also has two other men on the side. Her ho ho ho sweater she proudly puts on display is not doing her any justice. While I applaud her for being honest about her “ho” status, this is not something to be proud of on national television.
The first sneak peek lets us know that none of her sisters, including her did not graduate from high school. She has a problem opening up to others and due to her father not being in the picture, she never had a positive male role model in her life. Ding ding ding! She claims she does not want to fight, but she will if she has to.
Incidentally, the second clip shows her verbal altercation with Kiyanna leading into a very physical WWE style head toss take down. I appplaud Susan for her grappling skills, but don’t believe she really wants to change.
It is no coincidence the producers left this bad girl for last. Hailing from Compton, California, this loud mouthed bad girl is an aspiring rapper with a tiny fuse. She wants to show the audience that there is more to being from Compton than being the “hood girl.” As always, the producers are savage and weave in clips of Key engaging in appropriately “hood” behavior. This bad girl has mommy issues and carries those emotional scars with her every day.
Her video package includes her talking about not being able to relate to other females (precedent for being on the Bad Girls Club). It also includes her letting the audience know she is extremely aggresive. Furthermore, she doesn’t believe in chasing d**k, which leads in to the last sneak peek of the episode.
The sneak peek features a liquored up Key having liquid courage shouting at Sayorra, telling her that her company needs to leave. By and large that gets a rise out of Sayorra and the arguing continues. Verbal threats of beating one another up arise and when Sayorra steps to Key, Key sucker punches/smacks her foe. That fight is on like Donkey Kong and that leaves us with a lot of hair pulling and the security pulling the two women apart.
There you have it folks. These are the seven original Bad Girls who will be gracing the airwaves of Oxygen Network each and every Tuesday. The Bad Girls Club: East Meets West premieres Tuesday, February 14th @ 8pm!
