Last time on Hell’s Kitchen Season 16, the challenge had them creating a unique dining experience for the guest judges. Ryan won the challenge and got to head out on a helicopter tour of Los Angeles with Chef Andi and then meet up with Chef Ramsay for dinner. At dinner service, each chef had to run the pass and catch any mistakes from their sous chef, which all did a decent job with. It came down to Chef Ramsay and his decision, as he decided to eliminate Heidi, which left a battle between Ryan and Heather!
We have one quick hour tonight and lots to get through, but who do you think will win? We made our predictions earlier today, so go check them out and follow along with our live recap below!

We start in the morning and sous chefs being the finalists some breakfast and they work on their menus. From there, Chef Andi said they are heading out for makeovers and then see a musical with Chef Ramsay. The ladies get their makeovers and head to the play. They meet Rob Morrow and go to the “musical” and no shocker, the audience is full of people to see them take part in the final challenge!
CHALLENGE – The will have to make four dishes in 60 minutes: one hot appetizer and three entrees, which will be one beef, one fish and one chicken dish. They got the makeovers and all done up to then go back and sweat in the kitchen! Heather and Ryan complete their dishes and time for the tasting!
TASTING – A change this season, as the winner of each round will immediately get to pick an eliminated chef for their brigade! Here goes the tasting:
- Hot App – Heather took a big risk and execution was there, so she wins!
- Fish Entrees – Because of the crispy skin, Ryan gets the win.
- Beef Entrees – They both make good dishes, but they felt Heather’s dish made more sense and she wins.
- Chicken Entrees – Heather’s dish had a refinement to it, so she is the winner.
- Ryan – Heidi, Paulie, Koop and Wendy
- Heather – Andrew, Kim, Shaina and Devin
They go back to the dorms and Ryan is taking control of her brigade and giving them duties. For Heather, she is talking with her brigade and what job they want to do. Andrew feels he is the strongest one there and should be at whatever station they need the strongest chef. Eliminated, but still full of himself, huh?
The chefs are in the kitchen and putting final touches on everything on Hell’s Kitchen 2017. Paulie seems to be in a mood, as he would be helping Ryan win $250,000, but what does he get? Over on Heather’s team, Andrew and Heather are in love, which is blah!
DINNER SERVICE – The tickets start coming back and Heather sends back two four-tops and that is a tough one. Andrew doesn’t send up enough food and he tells Heather to slow it down and her brigade is all off. For Ryan, Paulie sends up ice cold meatballs and Chef Ramsay questions if he is sabotaging her. He fixes the error and apps going out for both kitchens.
They are about halfway done and Chef Ramsay said they are pretty dead-even, as both have had some issues. Time for the entrees and this is where the winner needs to step out. For Heather, Kim overcooks the meat and Shaina sends up cold fish. Chef Ramsay is doing all the yelling, but isn’t Heather running things? He calls her into the back room and gives her a talking to and said she needs to be stronger with her brigade!
Heather gets back and she said she is in bitch mode now and starts calling out orders. However, Kim sends up raw ribeye again! Over on Ryan’s side, Wendy is screwing up the salmon and sends it up cold and is working to fix it. Finally, Kim gets the ribeye corrected and they finally send it out. Wendy screws the salmon again, so she moves Koop to the fish station. Now the entrees are going out on both sides of the kitchen!
But that does not happen for that long, as Kim screws up the ribeye again and sends up another raw one! Chef Ramsay asks if Heather can do the honorable thing? Heather moves Kim to desserts and puts Devin on the meat station. Devin gets the ribeye right and entrees moving out of the kitchen again.
Both chefs get their tickets done and Chef Ramsay said they both had some issues. He will read the comment cards from the guests and make his final decision! So, who do you think will win?
RESULTS – Chef Ramsay has made his decision and has called the chefs back in front of him! He has nice things to say about both of them, but now it is time to step up to the door! They both turn the handle and the door opens for Ryan!!! I think she did a much better job in final service and Ryan wins!!!
