We start tonight’s premiere off with an introduction of the All-Stars returning for Face Off season 11! They all come in with partners, either from their season or from another season, and we find out that they will be not only competing as teams, but eliminated as teams as well! They will not be eliminating a team every week though, they will be awarding immunity to the winning team one week and then sending someone home the next week.
When McKenzie gets there, she tells them that they will be using green screen technology in this challenge. They will be creating alien-like creatures inspired by underwater animals. Evan and Ben have a huge issue during their cowl sculpting, their mannequin fell, clay down on the floor and it’s completely smashed. This happens moments before Michael Westmore walks in to give his advice on their creatures.
The teams are really working hard to get their designs put together on day two and trying to make their work mesh on the same creature come day two.. Next issue comes from Cat and Niko who can’t get their mold open, but some of the other contestants come to help them out and they are able to get it open.
Day three comes quick and they are meeting their models and applying their makeups to them. They really do have a lot of work to do still. They are all coming working really quickly to paint and apply these makeups, but watching them come together is pretty impressive. When they call time on application day, Niko and Cat look like they might be in a little trouble. Luckily they still have last looks to get their makeup completed!
It is judging time! Below is a list of the teams and the creatures they had to recreate into aliens. You will also find out what the judges had to say about the best and the worst of the night! (Make sure to refresh this page!)
Cat & Niko – Vampire Squid – They were safe this week.
Ben & Evan – Japanese Spider Crab – The judges tell them that they are in the bottom. Glenn tells them that they should have done multiple legs. Ve tells them that they look like they have been painted by a bunch of three year olds.
Cig & George – Roughback Batfish – They were safe this week.
Tyler & Emily – Deep Sea Dragon Fish – They were safe this week.
Gage & Rachel – Skeleton Fish – The judges have put them in the top this week. Ve, Glenn and Neville have nothing but good things to say about this look. This seems to be a favorite by not only the judges, but the fans of the show as well!
Logan & Adam – Veined Octopus – They were safe this week.
Keaghlan & Melissa – Flying Gurnard – They have been put in the top this week. Glenn calls their makeup “stunning” and Ve is also extremely impressed with this look as well.
Stella & Jasmine – Helmet Jellyfish – They have been put in the bottom this week. Neville tells them that the proportion is all off in this design.
This is not a an elimination challenge, this is an immunity challenge so the winner will have immunity from elimination next week! After the judges spend some time deliberating, they have chosen a winner for tonight’s challenge! The winning team tonight is Keaghlan & Melissa, which means they have immunity next week!
