It is not fair that I don’t get to have fun when it comes to Fantasy games. Unless you are a sports fanatic, it has always been fantasy sports for the NFL or MLB. Now, I get my chance to have fun with a new series of apps for Reality TV! That’s right, there are now mobile apps for fans to predict who is going to cry, fight, survive the episode, or get sent home packing, with all the juicy drama in between!
Onkore, a California-based company, decided fans like us deserve to get what we’ve been wanting for years. Envious of our sports fan friends sharing their fantasy league invites, bantering about stats and players, Onkore designed apps for us around shows like Survivor, The Bachelor and Dancing with the Stars, with more to come. After logging in with Twitter, Facebook or Email, I find myself in a stylish, semi-hip, modern app where I can choose to play a game (or ‘tournament’) or chat with other fans.
When I join the chat room, I come across invites for other fans’ private tournaments where I can join communities of friends. People love to talk about the show, gossip about past seasons contestants and build friendships. Typically, you end up joining a few tournaments and trying to win! I like to join the large “Hosted” public tournaments because Onkore usually has some reality star hosting and is giving away prizes, such as video messages from show talent, memorabilia, gift cards or personal prizes like Adam Klein’s (winner of Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X) Cancer Awareness bracelet!
To play, just log in, choose your tournament (either a public or private one), pick your contestants and make predictions about the next episode. The questions are fun and get harder during the season, which is great because I invest in the show and love how the challenges increase. Make your predictions, then pick contestants and other key figures on the show to win points based on how the show unfolds. Will they cry, get into a fight, be eliminated, get judges votes, or…?
Not only is the Onkore experience brilliant, but they stay grounded in reality by trying to do good! The company has sponsored charity events like, Babes In Toyland, which collected over 1,700 toys for kids in need, served meals at the local missions and donated funds to cancer research. Onkore supports causes driving positive impact for their local communities.
If you are ready to join the best thing to happen to reality TV, then visit the app store and search for ‘onkore’. To learn more, visit Onkore or follow their twitter account at @PlayOnkore. Onkore live tweets with funny commentary as well as shares details about upcoming events and tournaments. Good luck this season, enjoy the show and WATCH. PLAY. WIN. with Onkore!
