Aren’t we starting the year with amazingly good news? The CW has decided to release the new renewals early this year and it’s like a belated Christmas present! Supernatural, Arrow and The Flash are just three of the seven series that the network renewed so far.
This Sunday, the network announced at the Television Critics Association’s press tour that Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Supernatural, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and Jane the Virgin have all been renewed for the 2017-2018 season, and CW President Mark Pedowitz said:
“Over the past several seasons, The CW has built a schedule of proven performers, from our lineup of DC superheroes, to critically acclaimed comedies, to sci-fi dramas. Early pickups of these seven series now allow our producers to plan ahead for next season, and gives us a solid base to build on for next season, with original scripted series to roll out all year long.”
Congratulations to Supernatural to reach the highest places for a fantasy series, and it’s also the longest running The CW show, now with the upcoming 13th season (which was not a surprise taking into account that the president Pedowitz is such a fan and rumors have been flying for a while).
Arrow will reach its sixth season, The Flash goes into its fourth and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow the third season, Jane the Virgin will also hit the fourth season and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend the third one.
