Meanwhile we see a woman with two of her coworkers when she sees a familiar face at the end of the bar that startles her. She brushes it off like it’s nothing, but when she leaves the bar she is looking over her shoulder every couple seconds. When she gets to her apartment, someone comes up behind her and grabs her, forces her into her apartment and rapes her.
Her name is Quinn and when Benson gets there and asks her basic questions, she tells them that she thinks she knows who did this to her. His name is Ray Wilson and he has been stalking her since college. She apparently had a restraining order which he had violated and went to jail for, but had gotten out on parole. Quinn tells them about an officer Tom Cole that helped her in the past, he’s retired now so Benson and Carisi go to talk to him at his house.
Rollins and Fin go to talk to Ray and he claims that he was in church the night before until 10:30 pm, but when they go to ask everyone when the group ended, they are all praising Ray. There is video footage that also puts him in the church when Quinn was attacked.
Benson and Carisi bring Quinn in to talk to her and let her know that they have strong evidence that Ray was in New Jersey at the time of her attack. She tells them that she always felt like someone is watching her and she told them about her ex seeing someone watching her apartment. Rollins and Fin go to talk to the ex and says that the guy he saw was her co-worker.
Meanwhile, Carisi has the lab results of a cigarette left outside Quinn’s apartment and the DNA comes back as Ray’s, but Ray was in New Jersey. I’m starting to think that it’s Officer Cole and he planted the cigarette to frame Ray. They go to talk to Ray again about whether he has noticed anyone following him. They find video footage of a black car parked outside and when they run the plates, they come back as Mrs. Cole’s vehicle. They realized that Tom planted the evidence to try and frame Ray so they ask him to meet with them.
Rollins and Fin go to talk to him and he is lying through his teeth. Benson and Carisi go to talk to Mrs Cole and check on Tom’s alibi. She tells them that they had dinner until 8:30 pm and then he went down into the basement and then she gets nervous and asks if Tom is a suspect. She tells them that Tom wasn’t really home all night working on the wine cellar. He worked on it for a while and then told her that he was going to Home Depot but she didn’t see him until the next morning and told her that if anyone asks where he was to tell them he was home.
Benson calls Rollins and tells her to pick up Quinn, but she left her hotel with a man. Benson and Carisi go and see the wife again to find out where he would have taken Quinn. She tells them about a farm house that his brother owns and he has been doing some renovation work on it. They find a toll booth cam picture of Tom and Quinn together. Benson and Carisi are heading to the farm house.
They get there and Benson and Carisi take a look around, but not before Benson tells Carisi to be careful. They find the car in the driveway and then they see him inside with a gun. He calls Benson’s phone and tells her that she needs to go, but she tries to talk him out of hurting her. Meanwhile Carisi finds a way in the house and Tom has a feeling that there might be someone in the house.
Tom makes it sound like he is going to kill himself, but instead he hides Quinn in a room and duct tapes her mouth and comes up behind Carisi when he finds her. Meanwhile, Benson is in the house looking for them and she is able to get there before Tom pulls the trigger on Carisi. She shoots him in the head and saves both Carisi and Quinn.
We end the episode off with Benson talking to Quinn making sure she doesn’t blame herself for this. Carisi comes and thanks Benson and then says “I hope this doesn’t make you want to retire” and she tells him “nope, the exact opposite.”
