Britney Spears has given us so much, she was the inspiration for many 90s kids. We loved her, we praised her, we fell in love with her and fell so bad for her during her bad times in 2007, and we were so proud of her when she came back stronger than yesterday. And now the pop princess is 35 years old, and this post is to thank her for all the times we were slaves 4 her.
To ask me to make a top of Britney’s best songs would be a top with only #1s, because this is how much Britney means to me, and I don’t have words to say how much I love her, and cherish her. So I’m gonna do something: try a top best songs out of each of her nine studio albums.
- 1999: Baby One More Time
Her debut album came with so many good singles it’s hard to pick one, but we all fell in love with that beautiful teenager dancing in her high school to (Hit Me) Baby One More Time, and I can’t help but choose this as her best song off that album:
- 2000: Oops!… I Did it Again
Britney from Mars is actually everything, and it’s so beautiful to see how this saying is in most people’s vocabulary these days, and the impact she has even on people who are not her fans. Plus, the reference from Titanic. C’mon. Classic.
This album is incredibly full of singles, but the one that has us all loving Britney and her amazing dancing skills is “Slave 4 U,” on which she danced at the 2001 VMAs with a snake on her shoulders, and she was the exact definition of perfection, and brings also the hottest video of all times:
2003: In the Zone
While my favorite song of all times is “Everytime,” for Justin Timberlake, I’m going with “Toxic” off this album, because it’s so addictive, and she looks so good with all her looks, blonde, brunette, redhead… It’s Britney, bitch!
- 2007: Blackout
Which takes us to her comeback album, Blackout, which was actually a ray of sunshine in her darkest days. With “Gimme More” and “Piece of Me” she was back in the spotlight, and although she seemed pretty fierce to go and perform “Gimme More” on the stage at the 2007 VMAs, I’ll go with “Piece of Me” for this (although some fans might go with “Radar,” because… you know).
- 2008: Circus
The 2008 version of “Toxic,” “Womanizer” brings Britney back with the same director, with different colored wigs and incredibly sexy shots in the shower.
- 2011: Femme Fatale
With “I Wanna Go” and “Hold It Against Me” it’s hard to compete, but to think of the end of the world with Britney, there’s not much choice. So yeah. “Till the World Ends” it is.
2013: Britney Jean
You better work, bitch! It’s self-explanatory, really. Britney looks her hottest and it’s one of the best workout songs ever.
- 2016: Glory
Although she has only released two music videos for her latest studio album, “Slumber Party” has taken us to a different land, and the entire fandom just sighs in agreement with the perfection of that music video. Thank you, Britney.
Happy birthday, Queen!
