The Walking Dead is dealing with some of the worst ratings since it’s third season after the big premiere of season 7. After losing a member of the original group dating back to the first season, it’s hard to think we could lose more original members but for AMC, everything is possible. Even more after the cryptic message Chandler Riggs‘ father left on social media.
Chandler Riggs has grown before our eyes both as an actor and as Carl Grimes, and even though his character might be annoying at times, we could not imagine the show without Carl.
In different interviews with the creators of the comics, they have shared that the only thing that kept Rick (Andrew Lincoln) from going insane and be Governor-like (or worse, Negan-like) was Carl, and what would happen to him if he would die?
But now news are that Chandler will be starting college as he has been accepted at Auburn University in Alabama.
Following this, his father shared on social media a picture of the star alongside the caption:
“Completed 7 years on TWD! #freedom #thewalkingdead
“So grateful to AMC, cast and crew, and all the fan base for making the little zombie show a big deal.”
So that might mean that Chandler will focus on his studies and leave the show? Would he be killed off or just recast?
I could not see anyone else but Chandler now in the show, so why would it be the point? But following the story in the comics, Carl and Negan get pretty close in a very weird way, but since they’re changing some stuff, he could kill him, right?
