Last week on Survivor Season 33, we saw Jay and Taylor on the bottom of the pecking order and because of that, they were going to try and make some moves. Taylor told Jay that Adam had the advantage that let him steal a reward from someone. He also told him about his stash of food he stole and hid in mason jars. They ate it up together, as they figured one of them was going home after Ken won immunity. At Tribal Council, Taylor outed himself for stealing the food and said Adam helped him do it (a lie). Jay tried to help with this lie, but they didn’t realize the other castaways would still be angry Jay and Taylor ate it all, which they admitted to. Because of that, no votes were changed and Taylor headed to the jury!

CAMP – Adam apologizes for not telling them about the advantage. It seems like Chris is now adamant on getting Jessica out. Jay now knows he has to work his butt off to work the damage that Taylor did last week. The next day, we see Hannah flirting with Ken. Then we see Will trying to get away from jay, so he wants to work with Zeke and Hannah. Will tells him that Jay has a Hidden Immunity Idol, just to show he wants to work with them. Will said he just wants him to know, but then we see everyone tell everyone that Jay has the idol. They want him to be scared he is going and uses it next time, so it flushes it out. But the focus still seems on Jessica.
REWARD CHALLENGE – For this challenge, they will split into two teams and will dive in and swim to a platform. They will then get on a raft and pull themselves toward shore. Then get on another platform and unlock keys. Once they get all the keys, they will then get to shore and unlock a crate, which gives them more colored boxes. They will have to stack the boxes so that no colors duplicate on any side. Winning team gets a floating pizza bar brought to them at camp! They will randomly draw for teams and someone will have to sit out. Dave said he is a bad swimmer and doesn’t want to slow any team down. His anxiety and paranoia take over, but the others all encourage him and it is very nice and emotional to see! The teams are:
- Orange Team – Ken, Jessica, Chris, Dave and Will
- Purple Team – Bret, Zeke, Sunday, Hannah and Adam
That means Jay is sitting out on this one. This is a close one for most of the challenge. Both teams are working on the boxes, but it is Zeke and Adam getting the boxes in the right order first and the Purple Team wins. Dave apologizes for losing, but it’s not really his fault on Survivor Millennials vs Gen X 2016!
On the reward, they are all enjoying their pizza and wings and beer. They are having a good time and then they get a surprise, as they get letters from home! Bring on the tears, as it hits Adam big time. His mom was diagnosed with cancer before he left, so he is paranoid every day that bad news will be coming. So, the letter is good for him and knowing she is okay. Back at camp, we see Ken and Dave sharing another good moment and a bonding moment. They talk about taking each other to the end. Jessica comes up and Dave wants to break up Chris, Bret and Sunday. He thinks they are strong, so he wants to vote out Chris and thinks he has the votes to do it. I am not sure with how he is counting.
IMMUNITY CHALLENGE – For this challenge on Survivor Season 33, they will stand on a narrow beam while balancing a statue with a long pole. At random intervals, they will move further down the beam, making it harder to hold up the statue. If your statue falls, you are out. Last one standing with their statue is the winner of immunity!
They all survive the first move and then Hannah and Ken fall in the second move back. Thy move back to the third interval and it knocks out a bunch of them! They move to the final interval on the beam and it is down to Jessica, Dave, Zeke and Adam! It seems like they have some ants crawling on them this challenge (and into Jay’s eye)! The wind picks up and it knocks out Adam! Jessica is looking solid, but then drops out of nowhere and she is out. Zeke is definitely struggling on this one and Dave is looking solid. The wind picks up and both struggling, but Zeke falls out and Dave wins immunity!
CAMP – Jay is worried that he is going home, since no one is talking to him about a plan. He has the idol though. Then we see Bret, Sunday, Chris and Zeke talk about getting Jessica out. Zeke said he has the votes. Then Zeke talks with Dave and Dave said they want Chris gone. So, Zeke pits the Gen Xers against each other, as Zeke tells Dave that Chris is gunning for Jessica (and she still has that Legacy Advantage, that no one knows about it). It looks like what Zeke decides on this one.
TRIBAL COUNCIL – Jay said he felt like a lone wolf and no one came to him about plans. Dave said there are voting blocks. Hannah calls it a Trust Cluster, as a voting block can change instantly and an alliance always sticks together and this falls in between. Jeff likes that term and uses it, which makes Hannah, a fan of the show, all giddy and it is funny! Adam said there is a cold war going on and they need to focus on a single target, like Jay. Jessica talks about blindsiding Gen X earlier in the season, but Chris said she is fine. They all seem to be 100% sure on the vote, but I don’t think that’s the case! Time for the vote! Jeff tallies the votes and no idols are played!
VOTES – Chris, Jessica, Chris, Jessica, Chris, Jessica, Chris, Jessica, Chris and Chris! He lied about not going after Jessica and then it bit him in the ass, as he is voted off!
