We had a building collapse tonight on Grey’s Anatomy Season 13, but the big topic of the night was Alex’s trial and he made a big decision regarding that trial! He said his goodbyes to Meredith, but did Alex go to jail tonight on Grey’s Anatomy 2016? Check out all the intense action for the “You Haven’t Done Nothin'” episode on TGIT below in our Grey’s Anatomy Season 13 Recap!
Last week on Grey’s Anatomy 2016, it was a very strange episode, as we had Meredith, Owen, Edwards and Webber all working on a surgery. That was the whole episode, as Webber decided to give the unknown patient a name and a life and a story, which he ended up using his mother. Then we saw all of them having these flashbacks, as Edwards saw a little Stephanie, Owen saw his sister and Meredith first saw her kids when Derrick died and then the show ended with a flash of Derrick. The whole episode was weird and did not fit into the storyline at all.
Warning: This post contains spoilers from Grey’s Anatomy tonight on ABC, so stop reading now if you don’t want to know what happened!!!
We start with Alex, Maggie and Meredith driving into work. It’s Alex’s last day and he wants to go drinking before the trial tomorrow. He thinks it’s his last day on earth, but Meredith is holding out faith. Then a building by them collapses right by them, so Alex said they are drinking!
At the hospital, Bailey is giving orders, which includes telling DeLuca to take photos of everyone that comes, as their loved ones will be coming soon and they need photos to identify them. We have people coming in all over the place. Minnick comes in to help out and Webber sees her and he wants to do coffee when it dies down and she said sure, as she can get him caught up on her plans! He is confused! DeLuca is taking pictures and Jo comes up and she has been called to testify in his trial, so she is ticked! She said this would make it public record, so her husband can find her and everything she has done would be ruined.
Leah is getting photos also and a guy asks her to get a priest, as he is dying. Later on, Leah brings up Ben and said it doesn’t matter and the guy won’t know. The guy ends up confessing that he was landlord of the building and there was an issue he was going to fix and was saving up the money to fix it, but this happened and he killed everyone!
Webber is working on the girl that got brought in by her parents. They say they were down the block getting coffee. Maggie comes in and she said the girl is actively bleeding. Ben is struggling with if he should or should not tell the cops about the landlord confessing. Ben is talking to Maggie about it and they get on the elevator, as that girl’s parents are sitting there and heard that this is the landlord’s fault!
We see Minnick there and talking with Arizona and she said she would remember her name and Arizona is acting all dumb-founded and not sure of what she is talking about! Minnick leaves and Arizona tells her patient that was winning! We see two ladies come in and both claim to be with one guy, so it is his wife and girlfriend!
Now the dad of that girl is with other family members in the waiting room and telling them that the landlord knew about this and he is going to pay for it. Webber and Maggie come up and tell the parents that their daughter is going to need surgery. The mother asks that she will be fine, but no real answer from the doctors on Grey’s Anatomy Season 13. The dad goes back to the family members and they are all riled up and Maggie said she doesn’t like the vibe here.
Now Jo and Alex are in the supply closet and she mentions being subpoenaed. Alex said they might not be able to talk again and he just wanted to apologize for what he said to her and she is not trash.
Maggie and Webber run into Minnick and he said it looks like they won’t get that cup of coffee. Minnick said she can send him paperwork that would help with the transition. Maggie said she thought they were working together. Webber said he thought so too. Minnick said to talk with Bailey about this.
Riggs and Owen talk about the cheating guy and Riggs said he knows he blames him for Owen’s sister’s death, but it can’t be as worse as the guilt Riggs feels daily. Owen said he has been there and he cheated on his first wife.
Ben is talking to the landlord and the landlord keeps confessing to him and saying he knew those families and they were his family. He knows that Ben is not a priest, but he just needs someone to forgive him.
Webber and Maggie are working on that little girl in surgery and she crashes! They try to revive her, but no luck. Her parents know about the landlord doing it, so this is about to get ugly!
Jo gets on the same elevator as Alex. She stops the elevator and proceeds to tell Alex the truth. Jo tells him that she is married and he almost beat her to death. She ran and her real name is not Jo. Alex asked why she never told him and she said she didn’t want him to go after her husband and do something stupid, like go to jail. Jo wanted him to know from her, as it will probably come out in the trial the next day. She then tells him if she leaves after the trial, just know that it wasn’t because of him. Alex said to stay after the trial and this is her life now.
Maggie and Webber tell the parents that their daughter died in surgery and the dad looks like he is going to kill someone! Alex is on the computer and searching for something. Minnick flirts with Arizona and she is not budging, so Minnick comes out to her. Minnick said she has game and doesn’t get it. Arizona said Minnick walks around like she owns the place. They agree to get a drink sometime, as Arizona smiles!
Alex tells Meredith that Jo is married and Jo is scared to testify, so he has to figure out what to do. Meredith has to go to surgery, but said they will talk afterwards. Now we see the mother of the girl that died is walking through the halls. Ben sees her and asks what is up and she said she is looking for her husband, as she gives him a photo of the landlord! Ben brings her there.
Meanwhile, the father is causing a ruckus with other family members in the waiting room and they want to know where the landlord is. He is not happy and they are telling him to calm down, but he is not having it. Maggie says his daughter is done and she is not coming back. Doing something stupid means he goes to jail and his wife loses both of them. Then we hear a nurse calling for security, as the doctors run down and Ben is holding the mother! She tried to disconnect his oxygen and suffocate him. She said someone has to pay for this!
Webber is standing in the rain, as the mother is taking away by the cops. Bailey comes running out and said she has been busy in the operating room. Webber asked Bailey who is running the program. She said she was going to tell him that day. She said she had to make a decision as chief and not make it personal. He said every decision has to be personal and if she can’t to do that, she shouldn’t be chief.
We see Maggie go to Jackson about Minnick seeming to think she is in charge of the residency program. Alex then goes to Bailey and said he wants to readjust his pension and have money sent to his mother every month. Bailey wants to know what’s going on and he is not leaving the office until he tells her.
Alex then goes to Meredith and said he is going to the District Attorney’s office and taking the plea and he’ll be gone for a couple years. Alex said this is for the best, but Meredith said he is copping out and he needs to go to the trial. Meredith is called into surgery, as Alex says goodbye and kiss the kids for him. She said he is not doing this, but is he???
Riggs and Owen tell the women that their man is fine and they can see him in a second. They said this is not a fight they want. Riggs asks Owen to get a beer, but Owen said he wants to go to his wife. They said a raincheck, so they are friendly again.
Maggie is talking to Webber about the decision and it is wrong, but he said it might be too big of a battle for him. They walk in on a room of doctors and they all said Webber is the best and this program is the best and this decision is wrong, as I am in tears!
Jo tells DeLuca about telling Alex and they are good and we’ll see how the next day goes, but she is going out on a special assignment. Is she leaving??? Alex is at the District Attorney’s office and his assistant comes out and goes to get him. He checks his phone and has a voicemail from Meredith, which tells him not to do it.
We see Amelia writing a note for Owen and she is leaving him! Webber is giving a pep talk to the doctors he helped in the program. Back to Alex and the assistant comes out and said the DA will see him. He sits there and thinks, as the show ends! That was way too much crap in like two minutes! So, will Alex go to trial and take the plea???
