If you missed last week’s episode, check out my Chicago Med season 2 recap right here to get caught up.Tonight’s episode of Chicago Med season 2 started off with April finally answering her boyfriend’s marriage proposal. She said yes! Meanwhile at the hospital, a man is coming in with shortness of breathe and he is asking for Sharon McGee, but Maggie tells them that McGee is Goodwin’s maiden name. The man’s name is Reggie and they are clearly flirting with each other.
Meanwhile April comes in and start flaunting her new engagement ring and everyone seems excited for her except for Maggie who still seems skeptical of Tate. Goodwin had asked to be looped in on Reggie’s test results, but they didn’t come back before he started complaining that his stomach was on fire. When they lift his shirt, they find a rash, but Dr. Choi notices there is something moving under the skin. Reggie has a really bad infestation of worms and it doesn’t look good for him either.
Meanwhile, Reese is trying to get Danny to talk to Lindsay about what happened to him and if he knows any information that could help them put away the people that have been abusing him. He is still too scared to talk to her about it though. In the other room, Goodwin is spending some time on memory lane with Reggie when his blood pressure plummets. He has suffered from some kind of hemorrhage and needs to be seen by a gastroenterologist.
Goodwin talks to Choi and Manning about options to buy him time, but they aren’t sure what will work at this point. When they look at his scans, the worms have traveled into his lungs and at this point there isn’t really anything they can to but make him comfortable. Goodwin recommends a treatment that could give him a little more time, but he will still die from this. She just wants more time with the first man she has ever fallen in love with.
Reese is trying to get some things set up for Danny, but they can’t find a place for him to stay. He asked if he could stay with her and she hesitated, but after not being able to find something else, she plans to offer him her couch. Problem is, when she gets to his room, he is gone and she is pissed that she hesitated when he asked her.
Reggie is in the ICU with Goodwin by his side and she is telling Manning about how much she wishes things were different between her and Reggie. Just then, Rhodes comes in with Dr. Charles and they are fighting over whether Rhodes should perform surgery on a woman who is too mentally impaired to make an educated decision about her health. Charles is against him doing it and standing up for his patient, but Goodwin asks Rhodes if he is confident he can fix the problem with this surgery and she ok’s it!
We end the episode off with Dr. Charles visiting his patient who is out of surgery, but doesn’t remember Dr. Charles at all. Meanwhile, Goodwin has chosen to take Reggie off life support and he passes away soon after the machines are turned off. She takes a moment to say good-bye.
Reese plans on going out and looking for Danny, Choi offers to go with her because it’s a big city and she is going to need help. Meanwhile at Molly’s, Halstead is talking to Nina about his money issues and she asks him to move in with her. She tells him it isn’t about the money, it’s because she really thinks that this could work, but he is looking at Manning. April is helping Noah clean up some empty bottles when she starts coughing really bad and runs outside. Noah runs out after her and she is burning up! Could it be a TB flare up? The same day she finally says yes to Nate! This is exactly why she didn’t answer him sooner.
