Of all the artists on The Voice 2016, it sure seems like Billy Gilman is causing the most buzz and Adam Levine thinks he has the winner of The Voice Season 11 on his team! With that being said, Gilman has to make it through the Voice Knockouts and Voice Playoffs before we start voting on them, so could he beat Pnciano Seoane last night on The Voice USA 2016? Check out their Voice Knockouts performances below in our The Voice 2016 spoilers!
For the performances, Billy knows Tim and Faith, so it was a little reunion for them. He was a country star as a kid, but now wants to sing Top 40 pop music. Adam said that Ponciano is singing some heavy stuff, so bring us there. Ponciano is up first and I have liked him in earlier rounds, but I am not sure about this song choice. I am not connecting with him on it. Billy is up next and he sings “Fight Song” and his voice is amazing and he can sing, we all know that. However, this is such an emotional song and I don’t feel his connection to those lyrics. He seems to be performing it more than singing it and I am not impressed.
For the coaches, Blake Shelton said Ponciano did a great job and it could have been his own song. He said he felt it in Billy’s performance and he has something to prove. Alicia Keys said Ponciano’s performance felt organic and honest. There was a tentativeness with Billy, but this lion came out. Miley Cyrus said growing up she listened to Billy’s music. She thinks his voice is amazing. She said she listens to people like Ponciano. Adam said this was, by far, the best Ponciano has sung. He admires Billy’s perseverance and proud to have him on his team.
For the results, Adam picked Billy as the winner and no steals for Ponciano, so he was eliminated! Now check out the Ponciano performance here:
