Tonight’s episode of Married at First Sight season 4 started off with Dr. Pepper calling Tom and Lillian to talk to them about how things are going. The only hurdle they have been having is Lillian working all the time and Tom is getting frustrated about how he doesn’t have her full attention ever. Dr. Pepper tells them that they need to be having more alone time with each other without the electronics. They are going on a mini vacation, like a second honeymoon.
With a week until decision day, Sonia and Nick are still not living together and she is still not wearing her wedding ring. However, they are still going on this mini vacation together to try and help their relationship get back on track. Sonia and Nick are heading to South Beach to stay at a resort for the weekend and she is really excited for this trip and she is hoping for a bit of rekindling. I have to say, even though Nick was a bit of a jerk, I can see he is really trying to make this work with her. They are actually really cute together and they are really starting to fit together as a couple.
Tom is trying to convince Lillian that they should take the bus somewhere, that way he can get reacquainted with his bus and spend a few nights with Lillian. He is taking her to the Keys for the weekend and while they are there, they will be leaving their phones off for the majority of the trip. When they get on the bus Tom starts hooking things up so that they can get on the road. Lillian is a little high maintenance and is complaining about how long it’s taking to get the trip started. Once they get moving, the trip gets easier. So easy, Lillian falls asleep. When she wakes up, she starts complaining again about everything.
Meanwhile, Nick and Sonia have been having a good time so far and they are getting ready for dinner. Sonia decides that she is going to wear a little black dress and he actually tells her that she looks beautiful in the dress and that made her feel better about the things he said to her. While at dinner, Nick brings up the “when are going moving back in?” question. She tells him that she isn’t sure if there is a difference if she moves in or stays at her house. He even offered to sleep in the other room. I have to give him credit, he didn’t shut down and end the conversation, he really told her how he felt about it.
Lillian is hating the bed on the bus and it reminds her about how bad she has to get surgery on her shoulder. While they are on this trip, Lillian decided that she is going to leave the phone on the bus while they are out together. Meanwhile, Nick is disappointed that him and Sonia didn’t have sex the night before, but even more disappointed about the fact that Sonia doesn’t seem to want to move back in with him.
Tom and Lillian are going snorkeling which is a little out of Lillian’s comfort zone, but she is willing to try it because it’s something that Tom enjoys. Tom stayed with her the entire time they were in the water and he really helped her feel comfortable while they were in the water. We end the episode off with Lillian and Tom having a drink to end their weekend off and they get on the topic of her shoulder and he asks her if she would be willing to see an alternative medicine specialist, but she turns it down. He keeps pushing it and he really needs to stop pushing it on her.
Nick and Sonia are getting back to the house and she has decided that she isn’t going to move in yet and Nick is really upset about this. He is actually convinced that their marriage is over. Then she surprises him with putting her ring back on to prove to him that she is committed to the process, but still needs time.
