On tonight’s episode of Blue Bloods season 7, Danny and Baez are working a case that involves a woman named Emily who was held hostage in her own home by a man she knew. Frank runs into a problem with a man who is a high profile fund raiser for the NYPD. He is pulled over for doing 95 on the highway in a blacked out police interceptor with a handgun in the center console, but he didn’t have a carry permit for, he only has a premises permit. Later Frank calls him in and tells him that he needs to hand over his premises permit and Si Goodman isn’t happy about it at all, but Frank sticks to him decision.
Danny and Baez arrested the man that attacked Emily, a man named Brandon Mitchell, but when they go to see Emily, she tells them she doesn’t want to press charges. They can’t proceed with their case without a victim statement. Baez calls in Erin to review Emily’s case and she is going to charge Brandon with unlawful imprisonment, kidnapping and a couple other charges.
Erin goes to talk to Emily and she finds out that her rape started off with them experimenting with bondage, but then it turned ugly. Erin reassures her that even though she consented at first, when she told him to stop, he became a rapist. Emily tells her that she still won’t testify because she doesn’t want what happened to her being in the press. Later that day, after a meeting with Brandon and his lawyer, Erin gets a call that the judge is dropping the case.
Meanwhile, Jamie and Eddie are working the set of a crime drama that is filming in the city and they are finding a lot of things wrong with the script. Danny and Baez are bumping heads a lot on Emily’s case because Danny thinks it’s a waste of time because she won’t press charges. Baez gets upset that he isn’t taking this seriously and trying to get a rapist off the streets.
Danny goes to talk to Emily and tells her that they had a real chance to nail this guy, but without her testimony, they can’t proceed with the case. Frank calls Si back in to talk to him about why he was so upset with him for what he did. Si tells him that he was sorry for disrespecting the NYPD officers and Frank gives him his premises permit back.
We end the episode off with Emily running into Brandon at a bar and he is telling her about how much he cares about her and that he wants to talk about things that happened. He tells her that he wants to do it somewhere a little quieter and asks if they can go back to her house. She agrees to them going back to her house and we see Erin, Anthony, Danny and Baez out in a surveillance van.
He tells her that he wants to pick things up where they left them and pulls out a pair of handcuffs, but he then starts laughing and she asks him what he’s laughing about. He says that he doesn’t know, maybe they should ask the detectives. They were blown. We end the episode off with Brandon hitting on another girl in a bar and Danny is there to stop her from being Brandon’s next victim.
