Tonight’s episode of Blue Bloods season 7 started off with Frank stopping an officer walking his beat who is texting and smoking a cigarette. When he is finished with his cigarette, he throws the butt on the ground and Frank writes him a ticket for littering, mainly because he was being disrespectful to Frank.
Meanwhile, Danny and Baez are working a case of an elderly woman who was shot by a stray bullet while watching television in her house. While they are looking around the woman’s house, they find a kid outside the house looking into the house, when he notices Danny and Baez looking out the window, he runs. Danny and Baez run after him and bring him in for questioning, but he asks for a lawyer and refuses to talk. Danny doesn’t have anything to hold him on so he lets him go.
Later we see as Anthony notices his mother’s bank accounts are empty, he finds out that she was scammed out of all her money by some guy. Anthony catches up to the con artist and roughs him up a little bit and ends up finding himself in cuffs because of it. Jamie calls Erin and she comes down and gets Anthony out and tells him she will help him nail the guy who did this to his mother. This proves to be a little more difficult than they anticipated because the bank can’t give them any information without Anthony’s name being on her account and without there being a power of attorney order.
Danny gets a call from Linda about Jack, apparently he cut school and then went to a friends house to party. When he showed up home drunk, Linda called Danny. Meanwhile, Erin and Anthony think of a way to get nail the guy who conned Anthony’s mom and it involves getting Henry to go undercover as a forgetful elderly man. Their plan is compromised when Henry runs into an old co-worker from the force.
Frank is still getting a lot of crap for ticketing and suspending that officer and Gormley and Garrett are trying to talk him into reinstating the officer. Unfortunately, he has already cashed in on his transfer. Danny and Baez are still working their case of the woman who was shot while watching TV, they find out that one of the neighborhood gang members was involved in the shooting, Danny finds proof on the cellphone of the kid who they brought in earlier that day. It’s a video of a couple gangs fighting in the street outside the woman’s house when one of the gang members shoot off a few warning shots to get them to stop fighting. While Danny is bringing the kid in again, they are shot at by someone in a black SUV.
We end the episode off with Danny trying to talk the kid into telling him who he saw shooting at them, it’s a girl named Roxy who is a known member of one of the neighborhood gangs. They are able to catch up to her and arrest her. Henry feels bad for not being able to nail the guy who conned Anthony’s mother so he talked to a friend of his who is the CEO of Anthony’s mother’s bank. Henry talked to him about what happened and managed to get all her money back, all $30,000 of it.
Frank decides that he is going to pay the officer a visit and tells him that he would like him to stay on his squad and not take the transfer. Frank gives him a package of nicotine lozenges and tells him he can’t smoke on the job in Long Island either. As Frank is leaving the squad room, the officer stands and salutes him, Frank salutes back.
