RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 2016 episode 5 is titled “Revenge of the Queens.” All the queens who were eliminated previously in the season have returned for their revenge. The challenge will be performing a stand up routine. Ross Matthews will return as a guest judge. For a refresher on what happened last time, read my recap of week 4.
The RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 2016 week 5 promo video explains that the eliminated queens will lip sync for their chance to return to the competition. Phi Phi O’Hara says, “There’s a lot of pressure now. I don’t feel like I need to kiss anybody’s butt to stay here.” Watch the RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 2016 week 5 preview video below.
In a RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 2016 behind-the-scenes video, Michelle Visage talks to the latest eliminated queen, Alyssa Edwards. Michelle says that in the all-stars competition, the competition is so strong that being in the bottom doesn’t mean what it does in a regular season. Alyssa agrees, saying, “I think we look around the room and we recognize that.” Michelle asks Alyssa how long she thinks the game will stay fair now that the queens have the power to decide who goes home. Alyssa says, “We all want that $100,000 check and our picture in the Hall of Fame… However, I don’t want to walk all over someone and be nasty for it.” Alyssa goes on to tell Michelle, “From season five to now is such a huge growth. I’ve learned to own who I am.” Watch the RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 2016 behind-the-scenes video for more from Alyssa.
