Hope you caught last week’s recap; if not, you’re going to be lost this week! The Haves and the Have Nots 2016 Recap: S4 E21 – The Fugitive.
Episode 22 of The Haves and the Have Nots start back off with Benny Young and Candice Young talking with the banker, who spilled all the tea about the loan on the houses and tow yard. When the banker shows Benny the signature, Benny confirms that it isn’t his – he was too mad. Basically, because they have found out that she forged the signature, the loan is in default, meaning that they need their money back by 5PM tomorrow. If not, the Feds will be called and Candice will go to jail. Benny was like, “Is there any way I can sign off so we’ll be okay?” The banker told them that they have two choices: either they get their money back tomorrow, or they need to vacate and leave EVERYTHING behind. When the banker leaves, Benny goes outside and stands by Candice’s car, ready to cry. Candice knows her brother’s hurt and decides to swallow her pride and tell Benny the truth about everything she’s done – EVERY. SINGLE. THING. And when she was done, what did Benny say? “You’re lying. Mama was right. You know War wouldn’t do us like that, he’s always had our backs. And you know Mitch doesn’t know anything about the streets.” Dang….Candice just sat there and cried too. Then Benny got on the phone and called Hanna Young – he told her that Candice was going to let her have Lil Quincy and not to worry about coming over. Candice knew she didn’t have a choice, so Benny made her follow him to go get the warrant on Hanna dropped.
When they arrive at DA Jennifer Sallison’s office, a guy that works with the DA came into her office first. He’s like, “Benny and Candice Young are here to see you.” Jennifer was like, “Is that girl still here? Have they seen her? Bring them in.” They go in to tell her that they want the warrant lifted and Candice wants to sign the rights over to Hanna. When Jennifer finds out that Candice is the mother and Quincy was the father, they bring the mystery girl in – Quita! As soon as she comes in, she’s talking: “That’s her! That’s her right there! She killed my brother! Where is he Candice?” Candice put her lying tongue back on and was like, “What are you talking about?” But Benny was too nervous. Then Jennifer showed her pictures of her house, asking her why the floor was discolored. Candice was like, “Oh, those are pet stains from the previous owners. I just moved in.” They slipped out of that one and were able to leave, which made Quita mad, but whatever. When they all leave, Jenny told the guy to find out whatever they can so they can find an excuse to search Candice’s house.
When the guys go out investigating, they start with the neighbors, specifically the nosy lady across the street. That woman doesn’t even wait for them to ask questions – she just starts talking and telling them about everything she has. That’s enough for Jenny to issue the search warrant – Lawd!
Meanwhile, Katheryn Cryer goes to see Jim Cryer and tell him that Wyatt Cryer is doing okay, but they need to find a judge to help them get the inheritance back. When they talk about what they’re going to do, she gets a look in her eye that Jim always knows. Katheryn said, “You hire people to do your work, but I like to get my hands dirty.” And walked out the jail! Katheryn later got the signatures and got the money back. She then went to the safe and got out the gun that Jim told her about. What is she going to do?
After that, we see David Harrington walking to his car when he sees Erica acting like she needs help with her car. They talk as he tries to help her with the car – she starts acting like they’re from the same small southern town and David eats it up. David offers to call her a tow truck and give her a ride to the meeting, also offering her his handkerchief to wipe her hands off. They flirt on the way to her “meeting” that she has to get through. When she gets out, he offers to come back and get her so he can drive her back to the hotel. David later heads back to campaign headquarters to pack up, when Oscar/Brandon comes in to tell him he’s getting ready to leave town. David asks him what he thinks about the woman he met. When he tells him the story, Oscar/Brandon was like, “I don’t know about that….there’s a few red flags popping up. I have to leave, but make sure to keep me updated; if you catch her name, let me know so I can investigate.”
As that’s going on, Hanna and Lil Quincy made it back to the house. He was like, “Are we in an amusement park?!” When Katheryn walks in and speaks to the lil boy, she was like, “Well aren’t you the cutest thing?” Lil Quincy was like, “Thank you. You aren’t so bad yourself.” That’s a little bit of Candice coming out in him, LOL. Anyway, Hanna tells Katheryn that she’s going to get to keep him. Katheryn was like, “What’s that going to cost?” Nobody knows for sure yet…
After that, we see Justin the cop show up to Candice’s house. He’s the first cop there, so he stops to call Jeffrey Harrington, who is still at the hospital with Wyatt. Justin was like, “Is there something you need to tell me about Candice? We’re here getting ready to search her house – if something is up, you need to tell me now.”
The Haves and the Have Nots episode ends with Jeffrey mumbling and panicking…..
