Hope you saw last week’s HAHN recap! The Haves and the Have Nots 2016 Recap: S4 E18 – A Tragic Assumption.
This week’s Haves and the Have Nots episode kicks back off with Mitch telling Candice Young about what he did to War: “I got it all handled, you’re good.” Candice was like, “No, I’m not good. You don’t know him like I do. He’s going to KILL me.” We then found out that Mitch and Candice used to date waay back in the day. Candice was like, “You’re family is good. Your dad was just a drug dealer. War is on a different level.” Mitch was like, “All I told you was that my dad was a drug dealer. There’s much more to it than that. My family is more tough than you think.” When he left, we see Oscar/Brandon arriving at campaign headquarters.
Then we go back to jail. David Harrington arrives to tell Jim Cryer that Wyatt Cryer is going to be okay. Jim was like, “That’s great, but I’m going to sue the pants off of those folks for having my son laying there so long.”
Next up is Hanna Young, who is calling Katheryn Cryer to tell her that he’s doing fine. Katheryn tells Hanna to put the phone up to Wyatt’s ear, where she tells him that she loves him and wants him to get better and come home. When Hanna gets back on the phone, Katheryn tells Hanna that she’s a “special breed,” and asks her to come by the house tomorrow because she has something to tell her. Hanna was like, “I was planning on going home and resting…” Katheryn was like, “No, come by. I really need to talk to you.” Wonder what they have to talk about….? As Hanna walks out of the room, she runs into Jeffrey Harrington in the hallway. As soon as he sees her, he starts apologizing. Hanna is like, “It’s okay, but you need some help.” Jeffrey’s like, “I know….I went to school for this, I know. I’ll get it together.” Hanna then asks him if he prays – “No. My family never really went to church.” Hanna was like, “It’s not about church. Do you talk to God?” Jeffrey said, “….you’re a Christian…and I’m gay.” Hanna was like, “And?? Me being a Christian has nothing to do with me talking to you and trying to help. Who am I to judge you for living your truth? I have too much of my own mess to judge you. But at the end of the day, even though your mama is a hellcat, you still were wrong.” Jeffrey then goes in to talk to him and lays his head on Wyatt’s shoulder. What he didn’t notice was Veronica Harrington walking in. When she saw him laying there by Wyatt, she said, “If your head was any lower, you’d be committing a crime.” Lawd. Jeffrey stands up and looks at her, “My bad for stabbing you.” Veronica’s like, “I have this case looming over my head because of you. I’m stressed, but I will win. I need some positivity in my life, so we’re going to have you and Melissa’s engagement party tomorrow. And if you don’t come, I’ll just let the cops pay Candice’s house a visit with a search warrant.” When Veronica tried to move closer to Wyatt, Jeffrey blocked her path. She said, “There’s that crazy look in your eyes again. I don’t want to test you.” Jeffrey said, “I’m glad you noticed. There’s a ton of sharp objects in this room, be careful.” She said, “Well if you try anything else like that, the beating you got from Quincy will be like a walk in the park.”
David then arrives at the campaign headquarters to talk to Oscar/Brandon. David basically tells Oscar that he’s not turning the phones back on, he’s going to pay Benny Young a visit. He picks up a gun, and heads out. So while Oscar’s still in the headquarters, Candice and Erica are still sitting in the car watching. They basically figure out that David is the one who is behind the whole scheme and plot to have Erica seduce David out of all of his money. Erica was like, “This is great and good, but I need to get back to Greyson(her “John”). So she calls a cab and leaves Candice with a car. And did you guys notice her eye? Almost looked like she had been beaten up. Greyson….what you doing to that woman??
Sidebar: I personally don’t trust Erica. Something is really weird with her. Am I the only one that feels this way??
Meanwhile, Hanna is heading out the hospital when she sees a little boy playing with a nurse – it’s Lil Quincy. He’s like, “Grandma, I’m ready to go home. I feel better, so let’s get out of here!” Hanna goes to talk with the nurse, who informs her that he’s been in the hospital for three days. When Hanna says she’ll take him, the nurse stops her: “You’re not his legal guardian. His mother has to come pick him up. If she doesn’t, we have to put him in foster care. I’m sorry.” She didn’t even let Hanna say goodbye.
Then we see War and Jim talking. It started out with them arguing about race, money, and opportunities and then it went on to them talking about Jim being kidnapped. After that, War was like, “Yeah, she played the both of us.” Jim said, “Yeah, she got you to do all the dirty work and keep me down there. I tried to get you to help me take her down, but no….and then she takes me for $7.4 million…” War was like, “….What? $7.4 million?! She lied again?!” He was raging at this point, and Jim just sat there and watched him. Jim was like, “Oh, you didn’t know? How much did you think it was?” War said, “$400,000. Then Benny told me it was $3 million.” Jim just laughed and told him about him getting half back and him being on the board with the bank and whatnot. “I don’t know why she went to my personal bank; she should have known that that wasn’t smart.” War was like, “She was desperate. People get stupid when they’re desperate.” In the end, Jim and War basically agreed to work together to take down Candice. Then War was like, “If you turn on me, I promise I”ll throw you to the wolves.” Jim responded, saying, “And if you throw me to the wolves, I promise you I’ll come out leading the pack.”
Then we see David, who has arrived at Benny’s tow yard. Benny’s like, “Look man, you need to turn my phones on. You’re messing with my money.” David was like, “No. You need to stop threatening my son.” Benny’s like, “Are you that insecure about your wife? Turn my phones on!” David said, “You can have my wife! Leave my son alone!” As David turns to walk away, Benny grabs him by the arm. David comes back swinging with two punches to Benny’s face……then Benny head-butts him….David pulls out his gun, and the two get to wrestling. Punches continue to fly….
….and that was the end of this week’s HAHN episode! See you next week!
