It was down to Jernard, Damiano and Tregaye and one of them would walk away as the Next Food Network Star 2016 winner! Who took home the victory tonight?See what went down tonight in our Food Network Star 2016 Recap below and see who won Food Network Star 2016 tonight!
Last week on Food Network Star Season 12, we started the night finding out that Yaku was back in the competition after winning Star Salvation! From there, the final four had to create the dish of their lives and shoot the video of their lives in order to get a chance to shoot their pilot. We saw the judges were not impressed with Tregaye’s or Yaku’s dish and it was Yaku that was eliminated, so Tregaye, Jernard and Damiano moved on to the finale and shot their pilots last week with Guy Fieri serving as director! They all had their issues, but seemed to work it out by the time the night ended.
Who wins tonight on Food Network Star 2016? We made our predictions earlier today, so check them out while we find out in our recap that follows!

Bobby and Giada are in place and the eliminated contestants are with them. We then have Jernard, Tregaye and Damiano. Bobby said they watched the pilots and they have the winner picked, but we are not giving it away yet! We are looking at best moments from the season for each of them. And some moments never seen before!
JERNARD – We start with look at his moments from the season. We then move on to the pilot and I am annoyed. He seems to be back to the annoying, yelling Jernard from the beginning of the season. He breaks out into some dance moves and it is, imagine this, annoying! He is not a great speaker either, as he sounds weird talking with the chef and customers. Giada said he was having a great time and he kept them entertained.
DAMIANO – We look at some of his moments from Food Network Star 2016 and then on to his pilot. His accent is so powerful at times and it makes it difficult to understand at times. He is very likable and spends some time with the chef and the accents are going wild. He heads out to eat with some customers, as they are feeding him and he is feeding customers. Giada said he seemed to have fun and so did the ladies!
TREGAYE – We look back at her moments from the season and then she gets emotional as she talks about what winning would win. Now for the pilot and she starts with a lot of personality. Would viewers know what “on fleek” and “poppin'” are? She talks with customers and it is so natural and they share laughs and I enjoy that. It’s a nice video, but seems to be not as informative about the location. Giada said it was great and it shows she is ready for this. Ana even said she is a natural and she would watch that show, which shocks Tregaye! Ana said she tells the truth.
RESULTS – Time to eliminate one of the contestants. The first contestant eliminated tonight on Food Network Star 2016 is Damiano!!! Um, what??? I thought he would win and this is so not fair!!!
We then look at some highlights from everyone this season. Then highlights of Bobby and Giada this season. Then it is a look at the contestants and what they said behind the scenes about each other! We got some predictions from the other contestants, as Damiano obviously wants neither to win and doesn’t want to be there!
RESULTS – Time for the final results on Food Network Star 2016! The judges and Food Network executives have watched the pilots and discussed the finalists and the winner of Food Network Star 2016 is Tregaye!!!
