Fox Plans Remake of Fantastic Four Movie
On the heels of the announcement Disney would be acquiring Marvel Entertainment for a spectacular $4 billion, 20th Century Fox Entertainment has hit the press with their own Marvel-related news. Fox is planning on releasing another movie remake based on the popular Marvel franchise Fantastic Four.

While Disney has gained a huge chunk of the assets of Marvel Entertainment, Fox holds the rights to the Fantastic Four movie franchise for as long as they wish to continue putting out films based on the characters. The new Fantastic Four film will be helmed by producer Akiva Goldsman and penned by Heroes co-executive producer Michael Green.
So far it is unknown whether Jessica Alba, Ioan Gruffudd and the other stars of Fox’s original Fantastic Four film and sequel Rise of the Silver Surfer will return for the third unnamed movie.
Fox also owns film rights to the classic Marvel franchises X-Men, Daredevil, Spider-Man and Silver Surfer. Currently the studio is in the works on a sequel to their X-Men: Wolverine spinoff and possible additional sequels and spinoffs to Fox’s original X-Men film.
