Lifetime Launches Nationwide Models of the Runway Casting

Lifetime has announced a nationwide casting call for the network’s new Project Runway companion show Models of the Runway. The first season of the series currently airs following Project Runway on Thursdays at 11pm ET/PT. Models of the Runway gives viewers an inside look behind the scenes of Project Runway from the perspective of the models vying for the top prize on the show along with the designers.

Starting this week, aspiring models can log on to MyLifetime.com to enter the Models of the Runway Casting Challenge. Hopeful models can also enter at www.myspace.com/modelsoftherunway or ProjectRunway.com. Applicants will be asked to submit an online application, introductory video and three photos, along with an essay outlining why they should be chosen to appear on Models of the Runway.

“The Project Runway brand continues to seek untapped talent in new and creative ways, and we are thrilled to be going viral with the Models of the Runway Casting Challenge,” said Barbara Schneeweiss, Vice President, TV and Film Production and Development at The Weinstein Company. “It allows us to incorporate the fans directly into the selection process, giving them the opportunity to participate in the show that they love so much.”

One lucky girl will be chosen from the online contestants to be cast for the next season of Models of the Runway and Project Runway. Entries are open until Sept. 20.
