Hope for Haiti Concert to Feature More than 40 Celebrities
Bono, Alicia Keys and Justin Timberlake are among the most recent stars to join the Hope for Haiti charity concert to raise money to help survivors of the devastating 7.0 earthquake last week. The televised concert event was organized by Hollywood hunk George Clooney and will feature over 40 celebrities contributing to the cause with their support and performances.

The Hope for Haiti concert will raise funds for charities providing relief to survivors of the earthquake, including the Red Cross, Unicef, Partners in Health and Wyclef Jean’s Yele Haiti Foundation. Former Fugees member Wyclef Jean will co-host the event, despite recent controversy over possible funds mismanagement at his Yele Haiti charity foundation.
The Hope for Haiti benefit will air on Friday, Jan. 22 on more than a dozen U.S. television networks, including ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CNN, HBO and MTV. CNN’s Anderson Cooper will broadcast live from Haiti during the event.
“Get involved, whatever you do. This is about compassion,” Clooney told MTV News. “There are times in our lives when people are really without help and in real danger, and this is one of those times.”
